The creation of a Murrine
Antonio’s Self Portrait Murrine (bottom and left) is based on the top (1997) photo. Thin glass rods are bundled together resulting in the “cold” cylinder (middle image). The rods are held by metal wires the ends of which are sticking on the right side of that middle image. The Murrine are cut from the Rod seen above. See Technique
